All The Game Announcements From Playstation’s State of Play (June 2025)

Playstation’s State of Play has just finished up, so without any dilly-dallying, here is what was announced during today’s State of Play!

Back in Block Placing Action

A surprise comeback comes in the form of the Lumines series, its first title debuting on the PSP almost 20 years ago. Lumines Arise looks to improve on the gameplay fans of the series know and love, whilst looking to draw fans in with its Tetris Effect-esque style. This also comes with PSVR2 support.

Prag(finally)mata

In what seems like forever since its announcement, Capcom’s Pragmata debuts a gameplay trailer. We finally get a good look at our two main characters, the girl being named ‘Diane’, and our gruff male lead Hugh. Drenched in intrigue and sci-fi visuals, the game finally looks to drop in 2026, ending with a cheeky ‘its real XD’ message.

The Hills Be Real Silent

Silent Hill f gets a brand new gameplay trailer as well, looking to take heavy inspiration from Blooper Team’s SH2 remake in terms of combat. Our main character, Hinako Shimizu, must navigate her village of Ebisugaoka, as blossoming flowers and an eerie fog has shrouded the once peaceful town. Silent Hill fans won’t have to wait long, as the game drops September 25th

The Name Is…

IOI James Bond title, 007 First Light, gets a gameplay trailer as well, showing off the titular bond and IOI’s classic Agent Style game design. Looking top be a more fast paced title than IOI’s Hitman series, we get more of a look at Britains number one spy soon. The game drops 2026.

Alongside these titles include:

  • A Final Fantasy Tactics Remake, allowing players to play in the original, or enhanced visuals, coming September 30th

  • Another look at Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater Remake, including the Ape Escape mode exclusive to Playstation, and a seemingly prop hunt inspired gamemode teased.

  • Nioh 3 gets an announcement and gameplay trailer, dropping in 2026 with a demo out today.

  • Thief sneaks its way onto the PSVR2 with Thief, Legacy of Shadow, out this year

  • Road 96 developer DigixArt announces Tides of Tomorrow, a multiplayer story game with the unique mechanic of choosing another players path to follow as the story progresses, out February 2026

  • Five new Astro Bot levels arrive later this month!

  • A Bloodstained sequel, Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, drops 2026

  • Romeo Is A Deadman is a seriosuly action packed ‘strong-style’ action game, with an amazingly stylised trailer, reminiscent of both No More Heroes and Dead Rising. Coming 2026

  • Sea of Remnants, a Sea of Thieves esque title with turn based combat sails into open waters 2026

  • Sword of the Sea glides onto playstation August 19th, developed by Giant Squid of Journey fame.

  • Ghost of Yotei looks to get a gameplay deep dive announced for July.

  • A Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection, including the handhold titles comes in 2025

  • And finally. Arc System is developing a Marvel Fighting game,  Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, with a plethora of Marvel Characters and a 4V4 tag team battle mode, dropping 2026
