Donkey Kong Bananza Direct Announced For June 18th

Nintendo have confirmed a Nintendo Direct for June 18th this week, however if you’re not a fan of Donkey Kong, you may want to skip this one.

That’s due to the direct being entirely focused on the upcoming solo Donkey Kong title, Donkey Kong Bananza, heading to Nintendo Switch 2 on 17th July, 2025. The news was announced on the Nintendo Today app, where nintendo stated ‘Tune in on Wednesday, June 18, for a live-streamed Donkey Kong Bananza Direct 6.18.2025 presentation, featuring roughly 15 minutes of information about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 game’. There is some we know about the tiutle already, including its main selling point of the player being able to pulverise IallI of the environment with Donkey Kong’s punches. As well as this, we know the basic premise of the game. VoidCo, a mysterious group of apes, has stolen a plentiful amount of the diamond-esque ‘Golden Bananas’. accompanied buy a strange purple rock companion, Donkey Kong ventures down into the undergrounmd to retrieve the stolen goods.
