Genshin Impact Version 5.8: 'Sunspray Summer Resort' Shines the Summer Sun Down on Players
The Nod-Krai story begins to rear it’s head for players with this update, as Hoyoverse announces Genshin Impact's newest update, version 5.8 ‘Sunspray Summer Resort’. From brand new outfits, a sunny new location, and the introduction to the first Nod-Krai character, this update has a lot in store for all Travellers.
Travelers have been welcomed to the Easybreeze Holiday Resort, a new island resort located off the coast of Natlan, opening to the public for its trial phase.
Here, travelers can meet some familiar faces, including Bennet, Chasca and Mualani. Even Venti joins in the summer sun, seemingly there to speak with an old friend…
Travelers will also meet the ever so adorable Asha, the resort's mascot! This little guy grants the user special traversal abilities, to access all areas of the resort. As well as this, Asha sprays paint everywhere it goes, and will be useful in new puzzles coming to the update.
Throughout this new resort are a brand new selection of events with rewards aplenty. Guide Kau Kau and Akamai in "Travels Are Fuller With Friends," defeat opponents in "Strikers Through the Storm," or partying hard with the resort's best music mix, all earn Sunspray Spirit.
‘Song of the Welkin Moon' brings the beginning of the Nod-Krai storyline to Travellers. In its prelude chapter ‘The Journey Home', new character Ineffa joins the fray, an all purpose house-cleaning robot made by child prodigy mechanic Aino. Travelers will traverse Natlan to discover more about their new robotic friend, and how her secrets seem to tie to the ancient Dragon civilization
Ineffa themselves is a 5 Star polearm user, capable of dealing electro damage to enemies. With this comes the all new Lunar Damage system. When in a team, any electro damage dealt by characters will instead be converted to lunar damage, culminating in a thundercloud that deals constant electro and hydro damage.

Ineffa can also summon Brigette, their Multipurpose Smart Assistance Unit, who can dash towards enemies and deal an AoE of electro damage. Ineffa will run on a banner alongside a rerun of Citali.
This banner will then be followed up by reruns of Mualani and Chasca. As well as this, both Bennet and Yelan will receive new outfits!
