‘Where Clouds Embrace The Dawn’: What You Need to Know About The New Zenless Zone Zero Season
Fans of the ARPG Zenless Zone Zero were provided an exciting look into the upcoming Season 2 update ‘Where Clouds Embrace The Dawn’ earlier today, and as such I have the exciting task of bringing you all the important information you may have missed if you were unlucky enough to not catch the livestream. Buckle up Proxies.
Time To Go To The Waifei Peninsula
Players have indeed been treated with this new update, as the vibrant yet remote Waifei Peninsula will become the new stomping grounds this season, following the events of the Sacrifice Crisis in past chapters. From teahouses, pawn shops and dessert stalls, the main city of the region Failume Heights sits beside the Lemnian Hollow, which holds the ever so rare resource Porcelume. With a more open environment, the Lemnian Hollow provides a new challenge for players in the upcoming update.
To quote Hoyoverse:
‘The Lemnian Hollow is an area rich in resources, yet fraught with danger. Due to the perilous Miasma widespread in the Hollow, formidable foes will enter the Miasmic Field state under certain conditions, gaining shields and enhanced abilities.’
New Characters, Big Panda
You heard that right, alongside a new area of exploration comes a plethora of new characters. S-Rank Agent Yi Xuan provides a guide for Proxies in the new update and region, but also a new powerful ally, equipped with maneuvering through enemies defences with ease, dealing damage based on her ‘Sheer Force’.
Ju Fufu debuts as well, an S-Rank Fire Stun Agent, who wields the mighty Hu Wei, dealing big physical and fire damage.
And of course, there is Pan Yinhu. Yes, he is a Panda. An A-Rank agent, Yinhu is a physical defence master, as well as a master in the kitchen.
As well as this. An S-Rank Bangboo Belion will be joining the line of characters. Reruns of S-Rank Ether Support Astra Yao and S-Rank Physical Defence Caesar will also return in Season 2.
Anniversary Rewards!
Of course it wouldn’t be an anniversary celebration without rewards! In this season, Proxies can find themselves being rewarded with:

This can all be done by completing a variety of event commissions and challenges throughout the season.
The new update will be available on PlayStation®5 Pro, PlayStation®5, PC, iOS and Android on June 6th, however this now also includes Xbox and Xbox Cloud Gaming with an exclusive Xbox Starter Pack available now for pre-order in the Xbox Store!
